Firmware 2.00 für die Playstation 3 “Update”

Lang musste man warten, doch Morgen ist es soweit. Endlich gibt es ein neues Firmware Update für die Playstation 3. Diese wird in der Version 2.00 erscheinen. Nun wird es möglich sein die PS3 über die Remote Control Verbindung mit der PSP aus dem Standby einzuschalten, auch Foto und Musik Playlisten kann man nun erstellen und für mich das Wichtigste Update die Möglichkeit den Hintergrund selbst anzupassen oder Custom Thems zu benutzen. Des weiteren ist es nun Möglich Sicherheitseinstellung für Internetseiten festzulegen, und das XMB bietet eine neue Option, nämlich das Information Board, auch gibt es eine neue Kategrie im Playstation Network im XMB.

Leider sind keine Verbesserung in sachen DvD & Blu-ray Wiedergabe aufgeführt. Es wird sich aber erst Morgen zeigen, was das Update alles so mitsich bringt. Ich will nun nich sagen das es eine Enttäuschung wäre, aber ich hätte mir sonst vom 2.00 Update schon ein wenig mehr erhofft. Immerhin wird es nun möglich sein, den Hintergrund selbst zu gestallten. Das habe ich schon sehr vermisst, da es ja bei der PSP auch schon von Anfang an möglich war. Bilder von der Neuen Firmware Version gibt es übrigends auch schon, auf dem mehr oder weniger offizielen PS3 Blog.

“Update”

Wie zu erwarten war, enthält das Update auf die Version 2.00 mehr Features, als Gestern vermutet. Ich hatte bisher leider noch nicht die Möglichkeit, die Firmware 2.00 zu Installieren. Jedoch sollen noch folgende Features hinzugekommen sein:

• Trailer aus dem Store können während des Downloads gestreamed werden
• Der Browser wurde mit einem neuen Flash Player geupdated
• Browser und der Store laufen wesentlich schneller
• Auch Demos, Download Games und PS1 Games sowie Videos können in Ordnern sortiert werden
• es gibt einen neuen Video Chat

With the potential for new backgrounds to become available on PLAYSTATION®Network in the future, Version 2.00 truly opens up a whole raft of options.

A host of other enhancements includes the addition of an Information Board on XMB to keep people up to date on the latest PlayStation® news, the inclusion of a new PLAYSTATION Network category and logo for easier navigation and Trend Micro Web Security, a free2, state of the art internet security system, designed to give parents peace of mind.
